Wind Energy Noise

Wind Turbine noise is an increasing concern in the ever-growing field of wind energy. Although wind power is a major source of renewable energy which consumes no fuel and emits no air pollution, other environmental impacts such as noise deter public support and limit location possibilities.

Blue Ridge Research and Consulting, as experts in the field of noise measurement, modeling, and regulation, can assist in a better understanding of the noise effects from current and proposed Wind Turbine sites.

Understanding Wind Turbine source noise characteristics, including the turbine and blade aerodynamics and gearbox noise, allows BRRC to develop detailed models community noise impact from these renewable energy sources.

BRRC has the appropriate insight and tools necessary to assist the renewable energy market in developing noise control solutions and ultimately reduce community noise impact from Wind Turbines world wide.
