BRRC’s expertise comprises measurement, modeling, and assessment of noise effects on people and the environment. BRRC’s measurement and noise source characterization experience is extensive, encompassing aircraft, rockets, helicopters, weapons, UAV’s, and sirens. Our team has lead the development of state-of-the-art customized measurement systems, designed highly complex measurement arrays requiring 350+ channels, as well as defined test and data analysis protocols. Our noise modeling experience includes airfields, ranges, spaceports, airports, industrial, and outdoor warning siren systems. Our modeling tools include military and commercial noise models as well as advanced in house noise models. Our projects range from environmental noise studies to source characterization to the development of mission planning tools.

BRRC is recognized as a leader in sound source characterization and propagation for DoD, transportation and industrial clients. The assessment and development of noise sources is complex, requiring considerable experience from years of successful projects. BRRC has been involved in projects involving high-tech military aircraft noise sources, large-caliber weapon noise, industrial plant noise, and long-term environmental noise analysis. Noise models are fundamental to analyzing noise impacts. BRRC has a deep understanding of the underlying physics driving all noise models, with involvement in the development and advancement of several current models.
