The animation below shows a representative four ship Super Hornet training session (abbreviated) for Field Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP). The first Super Hornet enters the airspace in a holding pattern before the remaining three aircraft enter the pattern. In this animation each aircraft performs two FCLPs before departing. In normal training, each aircraft would perform six to eight FCLPs before returning to base. The sound level model is the instantaneous sound heard on the ground and is represented by color contours.
