F-18 RAAF Environmental Noise Analysis - 08/02/07

BRRC is working with the US Navy to support environmental noise data collection for the Super Hornet.

Description

BRRC has assisted the Australian Department of Defense with their initial environmental noise analysis for its acquisition of the US Navy Super Hornet. The Australian DoD is required to produce Australian Noise Exposure Forecast contours, dBA max contours, SEL contours & time above contours. To achieve this, the INM data base must be populated with accurate Super Hornet noise data. The US Navy requested BRRC to present US DoD's NoiseFile data to the RAAF/Australian Department off Defense and to discuss available Super Hornet noise data with them.
